D&D Beyond Sheet
Eligre (literally: "ecstatic joy") was born to a good and noble family, though clearly something in her background went awry to make her as she was. The youngest of four, Eligre was perhaps not so well attended as she should have been, and from her adolescent years read strange books and practiced strange rites. She would obtain them by sneaking away from the city on some pretense to mix with humans and worse to obtain materials and knowledge of forbidden rituals, faiths and artifacts that seemed to her the keys to her deepest ambitions. She uncovered and taught herself how to control her innate magic (the source of which was some long-ago ancestor who had borne the child of a green dragon, which might also have explained the bitter and evil poison which burns inside her).
Eventually, her activities were discovered and while her family might have thought to imprison their shameful and black-hearted daughter, Eligre escaped into the wider world to make her own way. Abandoning her familial surname, she took the dramatic name of Kaivodulin (literally: "corpse-bird", "carrion-bird" or "crow/raven"). She is a liar, a thief and a murderess and she will do anything to survive. Her goals are to devour all the deepest and darkest secrets of the world and to transcend even the impressive mortality of the Elves and to live forever even if this means destroying her soul and assuming a lich form.
Eligre is arrogant and cruel. The only reason she has made it as an adventurer is her ruthless sense of self-preservation. Ingratiating herself into a party means safety and spoils. But rest assured, any pact or any relationship made with Eligre is completely self-serving and unless it has immediate clear benefit to herself, she won't put herself on the line for anyone.
No longer content with mere adventuring and treasure hunting, she currently sells her skills as a war-mage to the highest bidder.
Eligre's deepest secret is her half-blooded son, the product of a failed attempt to secure the title and power of a human warlord whom she was serving at the time (with intentions, of course, of turning on him at the earliest opportunity). He is a reminder of her own foolish pride and weakness.
Fine print: Eligre is your standard-issue tabletop Elf character drawing from the decades of shameless IP adaptation and pilfering that is inherent to tabletop gaming. Mostly adapted from Dungeons and Dragons, I guess? Journal/Character is for nerdy shenanigans only. Journal may contain content that is 18+, which will be clearly marked. Not affiliated with any real-life persons who may be used to represent the character in question. Character and author both over the age of 21.
